Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, asked young Angolans to reflect on the essential role that each one plays in building a more prosperous, fair and inclusive nation.
“Today, on this day of celebration and reflection, we come together to honor and recognize the vital importance of Angolan youth”, said the minister in a congratulatory note, regarding the 14th of April.
From the ruler’s perspective, on this significant date, Angolans not only remember the legacy of heroic figures such as José Mendes de Carvalho, better known as Hoji-Ya-Henda, but also renew their commitment to a promising future.
He emphasized that Hoji-Ya-Henda is a symbol of patriotism, selflessness and dedication to the cause of freedom, whose memory should inspire generations of young Angolans to fight for their ideals and contribute to the development of Angola.
For you, at this crucial moment in history, the Government looks to the young people of Angola as the driving force of progress and agents of change.
“You (young people) represent the creativity, innovation and energy that will drive our country towards a bright future”, he stressed.
According to the government official, the Executive is committed to supporting the aspirations of young people and ensuring that they have the opportunities and resources necessary to reach their full potential.
Rui Falcão reiterated the Government’s continued commitment to promoting the employability of young people, through programs and projects aimed at training them and providing them with significant employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
As an example, the minister highlighted the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE), a commitment to investing in the future of young people, in order to ensure that they have the necessary tools to achieve success.
“As we celebrate this Angolan Youth Day, I urge you to continue to be active agents of change in your communities, to pursue your dreams with determination and to never lose hope in a better future for all Angolans”, he said.
According to the government official, everyone united can overcome the challenges and build a country where every young person has the opportunity to prosper and contribute to well-being.
He promised that the date will be an inspiration so that, together, we can work to achieve the common objectives of peace, progress and prosperity for Angola.
