Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-governor of Cunene for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Apolo Ndinoulenga, this Sunday urged young people in the province to invest in small businesses, aiming to grow the economy in the region.
The person in charge was speaking, in the municipality of Curoca, on the occasion of Angolan Youth Day, marked on April 14, having highlighted the need for this section of society to be more creative in promoting self-employment.
He pointed to the areas of commerce, mechanics, metalwork and cooking and said that there are, in almost all municipalities, arts and crafts centers and pavilions, where young people have the opportunity to acquire technical-professional knowledge, to assert themselves in the job market.
He highlighted the Action Plan for the Promotion of Employability (PAPE), since its implementation in 2019, as it has had satisfactory results, allowing the reduction of the unemployment rate among youth.
On the occasion, the vice-governor reiterated the Executive’s commitment to improving the social conditions of the population, particularly young people, namely by creating more jobs and building housing and school infrastructure.
In this sense, he made reference to the works at the Dom Fernando Guimarães Keveno centrality, the future General Hospital of Ondjiva, the Cafu canal, among other structural projects to combat drought in the region.
He warned the population of the need for a positive mentality, focused on the perception of the country’s reality, in order to face the challenges that arise and promote a healthy environment in society.
