MPLA in Benguela wants to revitalize base structures

Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of the MPLA in Benguela, Luís Nunes, stated, in Lobito (Benguela), that it is imperative to improve and revitalize the process of renewing the base leadership of this political formation, aiming at future challenges.

Luís Nunes was speaking during the launch of the assemblies to review and renew the mandates of the Action Committees of that political organization.

According to the politician, the renewal of mandates is not just a statutory process, but an act of responsibility towards the Party’s ideals”.

“We are open to renewal and progress”, he stated, adding that the MPLA’s base consists of its militants, friends and supporters, who are directly involved in daily activities and in promoting the party’s values and objectives.

The first secretary warned, on the other hand, that, to mobilize this base, it is necessary to actively engage it in awareness campaigns and actions and projects that promote the agenda adopted in the approach, giving equal importance to the ideas, concerns and contributions of all members.

“For this process to be successful, we must dedicate ourselves to the most sharp actions of mobilization and political activism, in defense of our flag, our ideals and our leader, President João Lourenço”, he considered.

In his view, carrying out the organic process appears to be a fundamental element in knowing the number of members, where they are and where they intend to go, as the existence of a strong base structure depends on convinced, determined and committed activists. with the party, and not those, “floating”, who intend to achieve personal objectives.

“It is crucial that this process is conducted with transparency, inclusion and mutual respect”, he warned.

The leader took the opportunity to urge everyone to actively participate in this process, contributing their ideas to the future of the party.

“With determination, we can build a fairer and more prosperous future for everyone and strengthen, mobilize and encourage the degree of influence of MPLA structures in the different districts of our province”, stated the first secretary.
