Africa-Press – Angola. Local suppliers of goods and services can now benefit from financing, through the granting of short-term credit, for the purchase of inputs, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The amount of the financing line amounts to up to 200 billion kwanza, with the State guaranteeing up to 100 billion kwanza, equivalent to 50%.

The ministerial department clarifies that the action has legal support in Notice no. 10/22, of April 6, from the National Bank of Angola (BNA).

According to a press release this Thursday, the initiative is part of the CAC 2023-2024 Campaign Agricultural Credit program, which aims to promote access to credit for small and medium-sized agricultural and livestock producers and stimulate commercial agriculture, based on national products.

According to the Ministry of Finance, producers eligible to benefit from the aforementioned line of financing must go to one of the operating banks, namely Banco Angolano de Investimento (BAI), Banco de Negócios Internacional (BNI), Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA ) and Banco Millenium Atlântico (BMA).

This list also includes Banco de Poupança e Crédito (BPC), BIC, Banco SOL and Banco Comercial Huambo (BCH).

To this end, beneficiaries of said financing must comply with the membership conditions defined in the banks’ Indicative Technical Sheets
