The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, João Gomes Cravinho, arrived this Tuesday morning, in Luanda, for a two-day visit, with the aim of strengthening dialogue with the Angolan authorities and strengthening cooperation with a country that has historical proximity relationships.
This is the first official visit of João Gomes Cravinho, as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Portuguese Republic.
Upon arrival at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the Portuguese diplomat was received by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, the Europe Director of MIREX, Júlio Maiato, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Portugal, Carlos Fonseca and by the Director of the Protocol of State and Ceremonial of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paula Castro.
The program of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal includes a working meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, according to a press release from MIREX.
The head of Portuguese diplomacy will also take advantage of this two-day visit to the capital, Luanda, to get to know the work developed by the Portuguese community in the most diverse sectors, highlighting the meeting with the business community.
