Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Indonesia, Florêncio de Almeida, maintained, on Thursday, in Jakarta, contacts with Indonesian entities and businesspeople, with a view to deepening economic cooperation and increasing trade exchanges.
The incident occurred during an initiative called “Indonesian Friendship Golf Day”, which resulted in a golf tournament, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of this country.
The event is a platform to reinforce economic and commercial cooperation between various nations.
This initiative brought together the diplomatic corps accredited in this country, business leaders, investors and political decision-makers, in an informal environment conducive to networking.
The event not only highlighted the beauty and challenge of golf, but also focused on creating opportunities for strategic discussions about investment, trade and economic development.
On the occasion, Ambassador Florêncio Almeida, who made the “opening shot”, exchanged information and ideas on issues of common interest with other participants.
He said that the event allowed not only to strengthen existing ties, but also to discover new areas of collaboration and lasting partnerships.

Business volume between Angola and Indonesia rose from 1.5 billion US dollars to USD 1.6 billion (1 dollar is equivalent to Kz 836) in the last five years.
During the period under review, Angola exported essentially oil to Indonesia, in addition to agricultural products.
