Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy of the UNITA Parliamentary Group, Abel Chivukuvuku, recommended, this Friday, in Huambo, the reinforcement of the dissemination of messages of faith, hope and tranquility to the population, in this phase of economic and financial crisis.

The parliamentarian was speaking at the end of a visit to some informal markets on the outskirts of the city of Huambo, as part of the day commemorating the Day of the Deputy of this political formation, marked on Wednesday (8), under the motto “UNITA Parliamentary Group for local authorities at the service of the citizen.”

Abel Chivukuvuku said it was important to transmit messages of faith and hope, given the need for citizens to understand that hard work is needed to change the current difficult context of the global economic crisis, which the country is also facing.

The parliamentarian highlighted the need for greater sensitivity towards the social and economic difficulties of citizens, such as basic food supplies, unemployment, basic sanitation, energy and water, for the necessary well-being in communities.

To this end, he called for a greater focus on family farming, through the correction of arable soils, either through scientific means (fertilizers and fertilizers), or through teaching the population to alternate crops.

He recalled that the UNITA Deputy’s Day event in the province of Huambo aims to listen to citizens, gain direct insight into their living conditions, infrastructure and dialogue with local entities, to transmit messages of faith and hope, in this difficult phase of global economic crisis.

Since Wednesday in the province of Huambo, among other activities, UNITA deputies have already held courtesy meetings with the Government of the province of Huambo, the Archbishopric of the local diocese, the General Hospital and the Benguela Railway Station.

For Saturday and Sunday, the program has a meeting with civil society and services and masses in various religious denominations in Huambo.

The date is celebrated in honor of parliamentarian Raúl Danda, who died on May 8, 2022, as well as the contribution of all deputies who, since the first legislature, in 1992, until the present date, exercise the functions of representing, legislating and monitor with the aim of building a prosperous Angola.
