Africa-Press – Angola. The Angola-United Arab Emirates (UAE) Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the AIM Glogal Foundation signed on Thursday, in Abu Dhabi, a Memorandum of Understanding that provides for the organization of joint activities to promote business in both countries.
The agreement was signed by the president of the Angola-United Arab Emirates Chamber of Commerce, Braúlio Mohamed Martins, and the general director of the AIM Global Foundation, Walid Farghal.
The Memorandum includes forums, investment round tables and training workshops on topics related to investment and business, according to a press release from the Angola-UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry..
Support is also planned for the international business delegation of the Angola-UAE Chamber of Commerce to other countries through the organization of bilateral business meetings with potential partners.
The other aspect of the agreement has to do with the mobilization of companies, speakers and investment experts for events to be held between the parties, with emphasis on the Angola Global Business Forum (GBA), taking place in Luanda, and the AIM Congress in the United Arab Emirates United.
The agreement focuses on supporting and facilitating business discussions with the AIM Congress delegation through virtual/physical meetings throughout the year.
On the occasion, the general director of the AIM Global Foundation, Walid Farghal, promised to mobilize Emirati companies and companies from other states to participate in the GBA (Angola Global Business Forum) taking place this year in Luanda, as a way of compensating for the presence of Angolan companies in AIM during the period from 2019 to 2024.
The parties signed the first agreement in Dubai in 2019 and it has now been renewed in Abu Dhabi for another five years.
