Africa-Press – Angola. Visually impaired people from the province of Uíge completed training on entrepreneurshipTuesday, an effort that aims to encourage self-employment in this segment of society.

Since 2007, the National Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Angola (ANCAA) in Uíge, which has two thousand and 200 members, has trained more than 30 members in entrepreneurship.

The training, which lasted 15 days, trained trainees on identifying business opportunities.

Speaking to the press, the provincial director of ANCAA in Uíge, Fernando Dala, said that members, after training, receive entrepreneurship kits and dedicate themselves to creating small businesses.

At the end of the training, the five participants received 50 thousand Kwanzas each, an incentive aimed at developing business, financed by the Norwegian Association of the Blind.

On the other hand, the person responsible recommended that all beneficiaries use the amounts for what was intended, which is the creation of small businesses.

In turn, the director of the Gabiente do Desenvolvimento Económico do Uíge, Marcelino Ferreira, considered the training important, justifying that it aims to empower members towards financial self-dependence.
