Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, received, yesterday, in Luanda, the ambassador of India, Vidhu P. Nair, with whom he discussed the strengthening of the cooperation ties existing between the two countries.

On the occasion, the two officials also spoke of the need to increase the exchange of visits at the most varied levels between entities in the two countries.
During the meeting, Vidhu P. Nair expressed his appreciation for the solid and growing bilateral exchange that has been witnessed in recent years, and reiterated the continued commitment to increasingly strengthening the existing relations between the two countries. The Republic of India established diplomatic ties with Angola in 1985 and since then there has been a collaboration that is considered very cordial.
The Asian country is Angola’s third largest trading partner, representing approximately 10% of the volume transacted by the country in international trade, notably through the acquisition of crude oil. India is a country with diverse geography, from the Himalayan peaks to the Indian Ocean coast, and a history that dates back five millennia. In the North, some of the monuments of the Mongol empire are the Red Fort complex in New Delhi and the imposing Jama Masjid mosque, as well as the classic Taj Mahal mausoleum in Agra.
