Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial governor of Cabinda, Mara Quiosa, guaranteed this Friday that there are logistical, technical and human conditions for the first phase of the polio vaccination campaign to reach children under five years old living in the most remote areas of the province.

When speaking at the launch of the polio vaccination campaign in the region, the official said that the province has the support of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and the National Police (PN) who have provided means to reach areas that are difficult to access, due to the poor condition of access roads.

On the other hand, the governor asked for greater collaboration from churches, traditional authorities and civic associations for the success of the campaign that aims to immunize 138 thousand 598 children, across the entire territory of Cabinda.

For this purpose, according to Mara Quiosa, 310 mobile vaccination teams were created, 105 supervisors, seven advisors, involving 1,118 people, including technicians and volunteers.

He guaranteed that the province received 200,000 doses of vaccines, enough to immunize all children in the province.
