According to the event’s spokesperson, Victor Panzo, 66 lots made up of 215 animals were exposed on Saturday.

Regarding cattle, breeds such as Bosmara, Brama, Cimental and Mix were present, some of them with crosses from Brazil.

“In addition to the farmers from Benguela, there were exhibitors from Huíla, Cunene and Cuanza-Sul, who also presented goat cattle, with satisfactory sales”, he informed.

This was the 9th edition of the Agricultural Fair held in the province of Benguela, following the festivities in the city that celebrated 407 years of existence.

Referring to the conditions of livestock production in the country, Victor Panzo reported that some farms are already carrying out artificial insemination, which is a rapid process for the growth of livestock production.

“We want to continue all these technological services and we are waiting for conditions to be created for the completion of the animal vaccine factory, which is being built in the province of Huambo”, he stated.

According to the cattle farmer, the sector tends to grow and, therefore, all efforts must be combined, counting on the support of all companies that support the agricultural and livestock chain, which is very important for the country’s economy.
