Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA’s first provincial secretary of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, challenged his activists to strengthen the party’s presence in the communities, to ensure that the Government’s policies and programs are aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people.
Speaking at the end of the party’s V ordinary meeting, at the weekend, Nuno Mahapi, highlighted that the MPLA in the province must be an example of integrity and responsibility towards citizens, which will only be possible by creating proximity to communities.
The political leader admitted that despite observing some advances in social life, challenges still persist, hence the need to promote greater interaction with communities, to identify together the situations that afflict communities and which can be prioritized.
“We left this V plenary with a clear, viable and ambitious action plan that reflects our priorities and aspirations, as well as our commitments to our people and the ideals of the MPLA”, he said.
The Government, according to the first secretary, who is also the provincial governor, will continue to work “tirelessly” to meet the goals of resolving social problems, always putting the people’s interests first, so this will be the “guide ” from the MPLA in the province.
“We will be present on all fronts, listening to the community’s concerns, publicizing the Government’s achievements and promoting its vision for the future, but to this end it is essential that they continue to strengthen ties with their partners and allies”, he highlighted.
