Africa-Press – Angola. The book “Practical Guide to English for Travel”, written by writer Sávio Marcolino, was launched on Thursday, in the city of Ondjiva, Cunene province, to help in the process of learning this language.
With 37 pages, the work is divided into six chapters and contains specific vocabulary. In the first phase, it has 150 copies, published by “Editora Chela”.
It has the English alphabet that helps with spelling names and basic number tips to make it easier to count foreign currencies, anywhere they are sold, as well as phrases used in everyday life as greetings.
On the occasion, Sávio Marcolino said that the manual comes after verifying people’s deficiencies in the basic notions of English, especially those who travel for shopping and medical appointments in Namibia.
For his part, the municipal director of education in Cuanhama, Celestino Weyulo, praised the initiative, since the best wealth that human beings can possess is the knowledge acquired through books.
