Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and Cape Verde signed, on Tuesday, in the city of Praia, two cooperation protocols in the field of Labor and Social Security.

The first provides that citizens of Angola and Cape Verde can receive retirement pensions in both countries and the second the feasibility of digital and technological solutions.

Cape Verde’s Minister of Family, Inclusion and Social Development, Fernando Freire, clarified that the agreements are based on a CPLP Multilateral Convention on Social Security, which all countries must adopt.

The Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Teresa Dias, said that the conditions are created to allow citizens of both countries, who meet the necessary requirements, to have the possibility of receiving Mandatory Social Protection, without any hassle.

In the Digital domain, Teresa Dias said that Angola presents some challenges and the agreements will serve to take advantage of what is good in Cape Verde to enable digital and technological solutions in the country.

Teresa Dias, who ends her visit to Cape Verde today, said that the intention is to collect solutions to improve service to citizens in various sectors.
