Africa-Press – Angola. The Soyo Municipal Administration closed the Paulo Gomes market, to allow the rehabilitation of Estrada Nacional no 100, on the road section that connects Bairro do Pângala to Comandante Ndozi Airport.
More than 1,500 vendors were accommodated in the Kitona market. In the place where the Paulo Gomes market was located, equipment is being assembled by the company Mota Engil, contracted to rehabilitate the section, which connects the Pângala neighborhood to Comandante Ndozi Airport. In order for the rehabilitation work to proceed at a good pace and for the contractor to meet the contractual deadlines, the Municipal Administration of Soyo, in the person of the deputy administrator for Technical Services, Adelino Kai, asked for the collaboration of everyone, especially the citizens who provide taxi services and use the route.
The new market, called Kitona, has sectors selling rural products and adequate accommodation conditions. However, some vendors are unhappy with the fact that the Soyo Municipal Administration has closed the Paulo Gomes Market.
