Africa-Press – Angola. Leonardo Barros, an athlete from Sporting Clube de Luanda, was crowned national senior judo champion in the 60 kilogram category, after defeating Emanuel dos Santos in the final match at the dojo of the Cidadela Sports Complex.The former athlete from 1.o de Agosto gave his opponent no room to maneuver and knocked him down with a morote seoi nage, which guaranteed him the maximum score on the scoreboard, winning the event. With the triumph, Barros retained the title, while Emanuel dos Santos was content with second place and Cristiano Cassule with third.

In the -73kg category, Zeferino Gabriel won the gold medal. Francisco António won the silver medal and Domingos Leonardo the bronze medal. Adriano Tchissende took first place in the -90kg category. Manuel Camone and Martinho dos Santos came in the next positions.

Elton João took gold in the +100kg category. Piter Silva took silver, while Helton da Graça took silver. In the -66kg category, Edmilson Pedro was crowned champion. Manilton da Costa and Luís Gaspar completed the podium.

Dosande Camota won the gold in the -81kg category. Acácio Cassule came in second and Wilson Bimbi came in third. In the -100kg category, Ismael Correia won the title.

In the women’s category, Diassonema Neide was crowned champion in the -70kg category. Lukenia Arsénio came in second and Olga Bento rounded out the podium. In the +78kg category, Crislayn Rodrigues stood out. Maria Segunda won the title in the -48kg category. Andreza Antónia came in first place in the -57kg category.

In the team category, Sporting Clube de Luanda is the champion of the event. Judo Elite took second place and Grupo Desportivo Interclube was content with third.
