Africa-Press – Angola. In the period from 1 January to 30 March, Angola recorded a significant reduction of 90 percent in crime, as a result of various actions carried out by the forces of the National Police of Angola (PNA).

The data were presented, this Thursday, in Luanda, by the Deputy Director of Institutional Communication and Press of the National Police of Angola (DCII/PNA), Deputy Commissioner, Mateus de Lemos Rodrigues, during a press conference, with the aim of presenting the first quarter operating results.

According to the National Police, the significant reduction is the result of various police actions aimed at the effectiveness of the operational measures launched throughout the quarter, and which only allowed Luanda province, for example, the arrest of 10,542 elements, the dismantling of 88 groups of criminals , the seizure of 227 firearms and the recovery of 39 vehicles.
