Angolan statesman mourns the death of the President of the United Arab Emirates

Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, regretted today the death of Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nayan, President of the United Arab Emirates, due to illness.

In a message addressed to Mohamed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, the Angolan President underlines that “the death of this illustrious figure from the United Arab Emirates constitutes an irreparable loss” for that country.

According to the Head of State, the actions of President Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nayan positively and indelibly marked the history of the Emirates, which, thanks to strong internal cohesion, managed to assert itself in the world as a great modern and prosperous nation.

Faced with this unfortunate event, the President of the Republic bows “before the memory of the deceased” and takes the opportunity to present, on behalf of the Angolan Executive and in his own, the “deep feelings of regret”, which he asks that “they be extended to friends and the entire bereaved family.”

“Please accept, Your Highness, the expression of my feelings of solidarity in this moment of pain and mourning for Your Nation”, concludes in the message of condolences the Angolan statesman, João Lourenço.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nayan, President of the United Arab Emirates, passed away yesterday, 13 May, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced.
