The sale of basic food products in commercial establishments and informal markets, in the last seven days, had a retracted reduction of 0.03 percent, compared to the cost of the first week of this month, which registered a change of 0.16 percent. , compared to the prices charged in the fourth week of April.

This small variation was influenced by the low cost of iodized salt, which fell by 3.98 percent, wheat flour (2.34% less) and rice (2.21% less), practiced in commercial establishments, but remained very affected by high prices in the informal market, which increased by 0.07 percent.

The price variation of basic food products in commercial establishments, from the first to the second week of May, registered a reduction of 0.12 percent, influenced by the reduction in the cost of iodized salt, in the order of 3.98 percent, of wheat flour, in 2.34% and of current rice, in 2.21%.

In commercial establishments, the biggest price change was registered in products such as beef, with 8.03 percent, bread, with 3.68% and soy oil, with 1.34%. In the last seven days, the biggest price change occurred in supermarkets Jumbo, with 6.84 percent, Kero, with 1.12%, and Alimenta Angola, with 0.19%. On the other hand, there was a price reduction in Candando, with 6.99 percent, Deskontão, with 0.75%, and Shoprite, with 0.69%.

In informal markets, the price of basic food products, from the first to the second week of this month, increased by 0.07 percent, with palm oil, with 2.38 percent, beef (1.81% ) and bagel bread (1.18%) were the products that most contributed to this increase. The biggest price reductions were seen in Katinton, with 0.85 percent, Correios, with 0.56%, and Asa Branca, with 0.48 percent.
