Africa-Press – Angola. A group of 100 women zungueiras from the municipalities of Tomboco and Mbanza Kongo, in the province of Zaire, received a donation consisting of basic necessities and hygiene products, in order to minimize the difficulties.

The delivery of the aforementioned donation, guided by the second provincial secretary of the MPLA, Garcia Vieira, took place in the village of Tomboco and was promoted by the Organization of Angolan Women (OMA), within the scope of the Zungueira Women’s Forum.

The donation includes goods such as rice, sugar, pasta, vegetable oil, soap, soap and plastic basins for the sale of products.

According to the OMA’s provincial secretary, Isabel Devia Luvenga, the forum’s objective is to raise the awareness of Zungueira women to join the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI), with a view to obtaining the benefits that it makes available to citizens.

The meeting also aimed at instilling moral and civic values ​​in women salespeople, so that they can carry out their activity with dignity and within the organization that is imposed, as members of a society.

Isabel Luvenga said that the meeting also opened space for a permanent partnership between the OMA and the Zungueira woman, with a view to developing viable projects that aim to solve the main problems that afflict them and thus guarantee their well-being. .

“OMA, in Zaire, is committed to doing everything in its power to find a social partner to support Zungueiras women in the granting of micro-credits, to increase your business. For this reason, we are talking here about the mechanisms for obtaining that credit and its advantages, as well as the PREI, the role of the Zungueira woman in society, rights and duties and the importance of entrepreneurship for your empowerment”, he added.

On the occasion, the MPLA’s second provincial secretary, Garcia Vieira, recognized the Zungueira woman’s dedication to the well-being of families and her role in the development of society.

“The Zungueira woman works hard to ensure that her children do not lack food, health and clothing and to guarantee their studies, as a result of this effort the MPLA will continue to provide the support it can,” said Garcia Vieira, who took the opportunity to advise women vendors and street vendors to continue with their activities in an orderly manner, so that tomorrow they can become successful entrepreneurs.

INAPEM Trains Women
The head of the Department of the National Institute for Support to Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), Maria Wazika Gonçalves, informed that 50 women were trained in entrepreneurship, within the scope of PREI, whose process will continue, with the aim of training more than a thousand women salespeople by the end of the current year.

The zungueira Isabel Morena, 36, one of the beneficiaries of the donation, thanked the MPLA for holding the forum, having recognized the importance of the support, which will help to increase and improve the children’s diet. will bring another vision to women street vendors about the trade and I ask the Government to continue with activities of the kind, to support others who did not benefit this time”, asked Isabel Morena.
