The Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, informed that during the eighth edition of the African Petroleum Congress and Exhibition (CAPE VIII), organized by the Association of African Oil Producing Countries (APPO), the achievements will be announced sector in recent years.

That’s why, he said, “as ministers, we dare not and cannot fail our people.” For the Angolan minister, “for many years we have blamed external forces for African problems. Now the time has come for Africans to take responsibility and find solutions to our problems, as our people have entrusted us with these ministerial positions to face the economic development challenges”.

During the presentation, Diamantino Azevedo said that “mineral wealth is not a curse, but a blessing”, that “it is only a curse if we manage it badly”. In fact, he recommended that Africans be the “best stewards of the mineral wealth that the land has bestowed on the continent”.
