Africa-Press – Angola. Angola expressed its interest in receiving Tanzania’s investment in the construction of the Lobito Refinery, currently underway in Benguela province.
“The project is still underway and is 100 percent financed by Sonangol, but we are looking for partners and investment,” the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, told the press at the end of the visit that the President of Tanzania made to the Luanda Refinery.
The minister revealed that an appeal had been made to the Tanzanian President regarding Angola’s interest in Tanzania joining the project to build the Lobito Refinery, as part of the good relations between the two States.
