Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Table Tennis Championship is the next competition to be held under the aegis of the Luanda Association (APLTM), in July, at the Angola High Performance Center (CARA), in Cidadela Desportiva.
In addition to the Provincial Championship, the body that oversees table tennis in Luanda, has two more activities scheduled until the end of the year, according to the association’s president, Carlos Madaleno.
The second competition scheduled by APLTM will be the Open Tournament of the modality, called the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), to be held in October, on the occasion of its anniversary, which is celebrated in the same month.
The date for the Somoil Cup remains to be determined. Regarding the month, in view of the dispute of the aforementioned event, Carlos Madaleno said: “at the moment we are working to define the schedule. It can be carried out between the months of September or November”, he certified.
Regarding the sports program for the year, the president of the association, which governs the sport in the capital, promised that the entire program will be materialized and announced days before.
“It’s not been easy to hold tournaments. Even so, we are keeping in touch with partners. Let’s wait for the answers”, he said.
The last event organized by APLTM was the Open Tournament of the modality, called Special Economic Zone, held in October last year, at the High Performance Center of Angola (CARA), in Cidadela Desportiva.
