Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Congo, Vicente Muanda, was recently received in Brazzaville by the country’s Minister for Cooperation and Promotion of Partnership, Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, with whom he discussed several issues of common interest, with emphasis on strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, Vicente Muanda and the Congolese minister exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations, as well as on the strategy of Angolan economic diplomacy, taking into account the process of economic diversification underway in the country.The Angolan diplomat said that, since Angola and Congo are neighbouring countries, in addition to what is being done in political and diplomatic terms, they need to find a way to reactivate cooperation in the economic field.
Ambassador Vicente Muanda explained that, in addition to the simplification and reduction of bureaucracy for investment in Angola, more actions are needed in the context of concrete activities that can encourage businesspeople from both countries to be proactive. In this regard, the Angolan diplomat also spoke of the amendment to the Private Investment Law, with advantages for investors, whose objective is to promote a business environment conducive to entrepreneurs’ actions, so that fruitful partnerships can be established.
