Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, received, this Wednesday, the assistant secretary general of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OEACP), Norbert Ibrahim, with whom he discussed, among others, aspects related to the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the organization, scheduled for December this year.
Norbert Ibrahim is in Angola to participate in the Preparatory Technical Meeting of the Secretariat and the Working Group, with a view to the 10th OEACP Head of State and Government Summit, taking place in Luanda.
The Organization of African Caribbean and Pacific States is an association of 79 countries formed to coordinate activities under the 1975 Lomé Convention.
All States, with the exception of Cuba, are signatories to the Cotonou agreement, which replaced the Lomé Conventions.
In December of this year, Angola will assume the rotating presidency of this organization, whose Secretary General is the Angolan ambassador Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti.
