
Africa-Press – Angola. The Delegation of the 11th International Congress of Law in the Portuguese-speaking Countries visited the National Assembly facilities in Luanda this Thursday, with a special focus on the Plenary Hall. The visit was preceded by a meeting with the President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.
During the hearing, Carolina Cerqueira reviewed the functioning of the National Assembly and the positions she has held in the SADC and Great Lakes Region. She also highlighted the leading role of the Angolan House of Laws in resolving conflicts in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
According to the President, parliamentary relations between Angola and Brazil are good and fast-paced, due to the fact that they are in a permanent dynamic of exchanging information, training and experiences.
Gender Parity
In turn, the Minister-President of the Superior Military Court of Brazil, Maria Elizabete Rocha, was impacted by equity, gender parity, Angolan democracy and the beauty of the National Assembly facilities.The delegation was led by the judge and President of the Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso.
