Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan company Sistec S.A. is presenting photovoltaic energy solutions, mainly for petrol stations, at the 14th edition of the Benguela International Fair (FIB 2025), which runs until May 25.
On its stand, Sistec is trying to “attract” potential customers, both large companies and small and medium-sized ones, with its most innovative solutions focused on solar energy for homes, buildings, street lighting and water extraction pumps.
But the novelty at FIB 2025 is the solar panel pilot project, with the director of Sistec in Benguela listing the challenge of bringing renewable energy to petrol stations in the main provincial capitals.
Emanuel Rodrigues said that the first solar panels have already been completed at two petrol stations in Luanda, as part of this new project.
‘It’s the latest innovation we have in terms of renewable energy and we’re working with our partner, Sonangol,’ he said.
The Benguela International Fair, 2025 edition, brings together 395 companies, national and foreign, with an emphasis on Portuguese and Asian.
Companies from the agriculture, fishing, extractive and manufacturing industries, agri-business, transport, hotels and tourism, technology and telecommunications, finance and banking sectors are taking part in the event.
