Africa-Press – Angola. Two hundred producers from the southern Huíla Province will be participating in the first edition of the Agribusiness Fair from June 4 to 8 of the current month, in the city of Lubango, under the motto “Agribusiness growing, cultivating the future”, an initiative by the Cwam Angola Cooperative.

The commercial event, which will also bring together other agents involved in agribusiness, aims to contribute to the promotion of national production and the economy by generating new jobs for young people.

Speaking on Monday, with the aim to preview the event, the chairman of Cwam Angola, Piedade Pena, said that the focus is to display and sell the production made by young people, namely cereals, tubers, vegetables, fruits and animals, with the aim of continuing to empower farmers and create connections between them to help drain the products.

He said that the event includes a forum on agribusiness and food distribution, in order to strengthen the production, transportation and logistics chain for various food products, as well as create a business Exchange.

It will also will feature the participation of Insurance of Angola, S.A., Public Company (ENSA) and Agricultural Development Support Fund (FADA), will also address agricultural insurance and the raising of agricultural financing.

Cwam Angola is an organization created in 2020 to support projects aimed at family farming in communities with situations of extreme vulnerability. It focuses on investing in national production and generating a positive economic impact on communities, transforming the regional and national agricultural scenario, promoting connectivity between local producers.
