Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço received on Friday (6) Queen Nhakatolo, of the Luvales people, in the town of Cazombo, eastern Province of Moxico Leste.
This was a courtesy meeting as part of the Head of State’s several-hour working visit to the province of Moxico Leste.
At the headquarters of Moxico Leste, the Angolan statesman met with the local governor, witnessed the laying of the first stone for the construction of the city of Cazombo, and visited the place where a photovoltaic power plant and a field hospital will be built.
He then interacted with the local population, to whom he explained the socio-economic projects underway to bring development to the province.
The province has more than 300k inhabitants, and is located in the extreme east of Angola and is about 1,700 kilometers from the country’s capital, Luanda.
