Angolan Presidential Couple Attend Dinner Hosted by the King of Spain

Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan President and African Union (AU) chairperson, João Lourenço, and the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, were among the guests of honor at the official dinner hosted tonight by the Kings of Spain, Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, in Seville.

The event took place on the eve of the opening of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, promoted by the United Nations, which brings together several world leaders to this southern Spanish city to discuss financial solutions to the challenges of global development.

The Royal reception was attended by nearly thirty Heads of State and Government, including eleven African Presidents, participating in this high-level meeting focused on reforming the international financial architecture, economic fairness and strengthening cooperation between the global North and South.

President João Lourenço, as pro tempore leader of the African Union, will speak this Monday at the opening session of the conference, on behalf of African countries, bringing to the discussion the continent main concerns in the field of financing for development, namely with regard to resource mobilization, investment in infrastructure and global economic justice.
