Africa-Press – Angola. The commercial banks attending the 3rd Edition of the Expo-Dundo, presented to local producers, on Friday (04), a range of sustainable financing packages to cover production costs and other needs of the agricultural sector.

On the occasion, the representative of Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA) in Lunda-Norte, Valdemiro Domingos, said that the institution has available financing for short-term costs, such as seeds, fertilizers, and other inputs for annual production or permanent crops, as well as for the acquisition of machinery, equipment and implements.

He said that the financing covers small and medium-sized producers, cooperatives and companies linked to the agricultural sector, as long as they meet the requirements, based on notice no. 10/2024 of the Angola Central Bank (BNA).

Taking place until the 7th of the current month, as part of the celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the founding of the province of Lunda-Norte (July 4th) and the 50th anniversary of national independence (Nov 11), the Expo brings together more than 200 exhibitors and is expected to generate a turnover of more than Akz 300 million (US$ 325.380).

The event brings together companies from the diamond sector, entrepreneurs, banking, tourism, techs and innovation, culture, agricultural producers and insurance.
