Africa-Press – Angola. The 14th edition of the Uige Agricultural and Industrial Fair (Expo-Uíge 2025), held from July 3 to 6 in the city of Uige reached a turnover estimated at 550 million kwanzas, surpassing the 300 million kwanzas of the previous edition.
The announcement was made on Sunday by the chairman of the board of directors (PCA) of CCalas Angola, Carlos Calas, during the awards gala for companies participating in the event.
Compared to last year’s edition, he said that this year’s event exceeded expectations, noting that it was the highest amount collected from the sale of various products at the largest exhibition in the region.
The deputy governor of Uíge for the Political, Social, and Economic Sector, Sónia Arlete Cahombo, considered the event an opportunity that contributed to the 23 municipalities in the region demonstrating their agricultural potential.
Expo-Uíge2025 brought together around 200 exhibitors from the provinces of Uíge, Luanda, Cuanza-Norte, Cabinda, Namibe, and Malange.
The event, held as part of the 108th anniversary of the founding of the city of Uíge, took place in an 800,000-square-meter pavilion.
