Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan President and Chairperson of the African Union, João Lourenço, travels this Saturday (July 12), to the city of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, where he will chair the 7th biannual coordination meeting between the African continental organization, the Regional Economic Communities and the Regional Mechanisms.
According to the Secretary of the President of the Republic for Institutional Affairs and Press, Luís Fernando, this intermediate meeting, to be held on Sunday (July 13 will evaluate the progress of its main platforms and projects, in order to understand how the continent’s integration process is going.
“Basically, it aims to assess the work of the Regional Economic communities and their challenges”, he said.
Luís Fernando also added that during the 7th biannual coordination meeting, an assessment will also be made of the state of implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
