Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan writer Cecília Moreira on Thursday in Luanda, presented the second volume of her book entitled “Meninas Crepúsculos Leste,” which addresses the woman who is not emancipated as well as the modern.
The 165-page romance novel portrays the life of a couple, David and Vivinha, who leave Angola for Portugal.
According to the author speaking to the press on the sidelines of the book’s launch, the book tells the story of David and Vivinha, who met at a party in the 1990s.
She explained that Vivinha was a student but wanted to drop out to be with David, as women at that time lacked the confidence they have today.
She informed that the book conveys the need for young people to focus on academic studies and not on emotions based on romantic feelings.
“Before the age of 20, a girl should dedicate herself more to her studies, because it’s good for her to also have a university or high school degree to help her husband”, she emphasized.
Cecília António Moreira is from the municipality of Saurimo, province of Lunda-Sul. She completed her secondary education at pre-university secondary course (PUNIV) and then enrolled in the Faculty of Law at Agostinho Neto University.
