Africa-Press – Angola. Hydrocarbon exploration company Etu Energias announced on Wednesday, in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the province of Icolo e Bengo, the construction of a new lubricants plant in Luanda, with a production capacity of 24,000 metric tons per year.

He emphasized that in the last three years, Etu Energias has tripled its crude oil production, consolidating its position as one of the leading companies in the energy sector in Angola.

He added that, with the diversification of lubricant production and fuel distribution, the company is taking new steps toward verticalizing its operations.

Edson dos Santos also emphasized Etu Energias’ commitment to the social development of the communities where it operates, as the company has invested in social projects, especially in Zaire, with initiatives focused on building schools, clinics, and hospitals, as well as programs to support local agriculture and fishing.

“We never forget the communities surrounding our operations; we believe that the company’s growth must go hand in hand with the sustainable development of the regions where we operate,” the CEO emphasized.

He considered the International Business Fair a clear demonstration of Angola’s potential, allowing national companies to showcase locally developed products.

“For Etu Energias, this is a time to reaffirm our commitment to the country and strengthen national industry,” he said.
