Africa-Press – Angola. BayQi, an Angolan electronic commerce platform (mobile payments) is authorized by the National Bank of Angola (BNA) to operate in the Angolan financial market as a non-banking financial institution.

According to a press release from the financial institution sent to Jornal de Angola, the BNA recently granted a license to the Angolan Startup to provide mobile payment services throughout the national territory through the company PagaQi – Sociedade Providdora de Serviços de Pagamentos.

The Company, says the statement, is preparing for the launch of its super App, which includes two business units; e-commerce and payment services.

“With a strong portfolio, the BayQi customer, whether private or business, will be able to make online purchases with greater security, more practicality, low costs and will have access to other payment services, such as purchases, payment services and transfers ”, reads the document.

According to the CEO and founder of BayQi, Fátima Almeida, quoted in the same statement, these operations will also allow the unbanked class to have a digital wallet and make safe purchases on the internet.
