Africa-Press – Angola. The Ugandan Ambassador to Angola, Julius Katembeka Chihandae, has been on a 72-hour visit to the northern Province of Cuanza-Norte since Wednesday (20), to learn about the region’s agricultural, tourism, and mining potential.
Upon his arrival, the diplomat was received in an audience by the governor of Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, with whom he discussed aspects related to the province’s socioeconomic situation and possible cooperation areas.
During the conversation, João Diogo Gaspar spoke of Cuanza-Norte’s mineral potential, highlighting marble, granite, quartz, iron, manganese, and gold, as well as the city of Camabatela’s agricultural and livestock potential.
The ambassador told the press that he came to Cuanza-Norte to first learn about its economic potential and then mobilize businesspeople from his country to also visit the province and identify business opportunities.
During his stay, the Ugandan ambassador will visit the Cambambe hydroelectric plant, several agricultural farms, and tourist attractions such as the Quilombo Botanical Garden, the Golungo-Alto Forest Reserve, the Muembeji River Falls, and the Cuanza River.
