The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, considered this Tuesday, in Luanda, crucial that women representing different generations work together to promote gender equality, so that the vision of young women for the future and their leadership is ambitious. , inspiring and transformative.

The Head of Angolan Diplomacy was speaking yesterday on the occasion of the Launch of the Angolan Chapter of the Network of Women Leaders and was witnessed by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço.

For Téte António, the objective is to ensure strong female leadership throughout the generations, driven by principles and values ​​that promote the delivery of the commitments assumed for the transformation of Africa .

For her part, the Minister of Family and Promotion of Women, Faustina Alves de Sousa, said that the emergence of this initiative clearly demonstrates the commitment of the African Union to the promotion of gender and the empowerment of women.

“Four years after the creation of the Network of African Women in Leadership, Angola joins this great continental movement today”, underlined the minister.

The Network calls for action on six main pillars, namely governance and political participation, peace and security, finance and female entrepreneurship, youth leadership, agriculture and social mobilization according to the specificity of each country, giving a new dynamic to the efforts promoted and led by women who with their determination generate impactful and lasting changes.
