Africa-Press – Angola. The head of Angolan diplomacy, Téte António, visited the Angolan Embassy in São Tomé and Príncipe, with the aim of verifying “in loco”, the way and functioning of that diplomatic mission.

Minister Téte António was in São Tomé and Príncipe, leading an Angolan multisectoral delegation that participated from 28 to 29 May in the Eighth Bilateral Commission for Cooperation between Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe.

Téte António, who was accompanied, in addition to the Angolan Ambassador in that country, Joaquim Duarte Pombo, the Minister of National Defense and Homeland Veterans, João Ernesto dos Santos “Liberdade”, went through all the behaviors, visiting the different sectors that make up the chancellery.

The Diplomatic Mission of Angola in São Tomé and Príncipe is located at Avenida Kwame N`Kruma Nº353, District of Água Grande, and works with close to a dozen diplomats and an equal number of local recruiting workers.

The Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe consists of two main islands, namely the island of “São Tomé” and the island of “Príncipe”, which are about 140 km from each other and about 250 and 225 km from the northwest coast of the Gabon, respectively. The country is close to Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon.
