Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan consultant and entrepreneur Cláudia Mittler has presented a masterclass at the prestigious Norman Foster Institute in Madrid. She shared her experience leading sustainable fashion and social innovation projects in Angola with young students.

According to a press release sent on Friday in Luanda, Mittler has become a symbol of African female entrepreneurship by combining fashion, design, and social responsibility into an inclusive business model.

She is recognized for promoting local crafts and fostering emerging talent.

Mittler stated that being on this platform is an opportunity to showcase how African women are leading with creativity and social awareness.

“I carry with me the flag of Angola, but also the strength of the continent’s female entrepreneurs,” Mittler stated.

During the masterclass, she discussed conscious design, socially impactful entrepreneurship, and preserving cultural identity as a competitive advantage in the global market.

“Fashion is a powerful tool for transformation. When combined with craftsmanship and local culture, it gains strength to generate a real impact on communities,” she emphasized.

As the founder of the International Trade Show and the AO Criativa platform, Mittler has distinguished herself by training young creators, valuing local production, and promoting sustainability as a pillar of Angolan fashion.

Her initiatives have benefited artisan communities and young entrepreneurs, especially women, in Angola’s provinces.

Born in Angola and trained in Germany, Mittler is also one of the curators of the “Made in Angola” exhibition, which is on display at the 24th Milan Triennale under the theme “Inequalities.”

The exhibition celebrates Angolan creativity and reaffirms the country’s presence in major international design circles. Through AO Criativa, Mittler promotes education, cultural exchange, and philanthropy by channeling funds to social and environmental projects in Angola.
