Africa-Press – Angola. Young people from various social strata stated this Tuesday in this city that the State of the Nation address, to be delivered on Wednesday (15), by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, will outline an overview of the structural projects underway in the country and point out paths for the continued improvement of family well-being.
In an interview regarding the Head of State’s address, which will mark the opening of the 2025/2026 Parliamentary Year, the young people anticipate a speech also focused on employment policies.
Jurist Manuel Paulo said he expects news related to the stabilization of the national currency.
“Currently, the kwanza is depreciated, which causes families to lose purchasing power,” he added.
Furthermore, he hoped that the President’s speech would emphasize the Executive’s responses to the education sector, aimed at democratizing education and reducing the number of children without access to classes, as well as initiatives aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs.
Psychologist Hernany Ramos explained that he wants to hear a message of “hope for better days.”
Sociologist Joaquim Cameia is also expectant, expecting a speech with projections and challenges that the State intends to address in the different sectors of the country’s socioeconomic life.
Among the challenges, he highlighted employability, given the level of youth unemployment, without neglecting education and healthcare.Fellow sociologist Anabela Kidiaka corroborates this idea, anticipating a message that enlightens the population about the paths the State is taking to solve the country’s problems.
For her, this year’s State of the Nation address is of great importance, as it comes as the country prepares to celebrate 50 years of National Independence on November 11th.
For this reason, she considered that the address will be guided by unity, peace, and hope for Angolans.
