Africa-Press – Angola. The Local Development Institute, (FAS), was the winner of the grand prize of the 3rd edition of Expo-Malanje 2025, which takes place from October 30th to November 2nd, in this city, with 255 exhibitors from the provinces of Luanda, Cabinda, Namibe, Cuanza Norte, Huambo and Cunene.
The event, which had 29 award-winning categories, awarded the company Soneca Medical, as the best Stand, Fazenda Marsiris as the best pig farming project, while the media, Rádio Malanje, Tv Zimbo and TPA also received an honorable mention for the best coverage of the event.
Among the municipalities, Luquembo, best participation, Calandula best product exhibition and Mbanji Ya Ngola resilient municipality were the highlights in this edition that takes place under the motto “50 years of independence: Valuing local production, towards sustainable development”.
Speaking at the awards gala, the deputy governor for the Political, Social and Economic Sector, Franco Mufinda, stressed that Expo-Malanje served as a showcase for the world about the productive potential of Malanje in the most varied sectors.
The official was satisfied with the results achieved during the three days of Expo-Malanje, which allowed the establishment of new partnerships, especially with international companies, especially Chinese, Indian, Ivorian, Eritrean and Mauritanian companies.
He recognized the selfless dedication of the Governments of the participating provinces, the Municipal Administrations, exhibitors, musicians, assurance teams and the media, who did everything for the success of the event.
In turn, the representative of FAS, Rosa Branco praised the distinction and assured that winning the grand prize is the result of a lot of teamwork.
“Winning the grand prize is a recognition and pride in what has been the work to solve the problems of rural populations”, he maintained.
The chairman of the Board of Directors of the C-Calas Group, Carlos Calas, pointed out that Expo-Malanje attracted, during the three days, 35,000 visitors, guaranteed 150 direct temporary jobs and more than 300 indirect jobs and sold 250 tons of various products.
The largest business exchange in the province of Malanje, which closes (2), aims to contribute to the improvement of the business environment, promote the potential of the region, attract investors and allow the establishment of partnerships and exchange of experiences between exhibitors and visitors.
