Africa-Press – Angola. Seven hundred and 75 million kwanzas is the volume of turnover recorded in the 3rd edition of Expo-Malanje, which closed Sunday, in this city, with the participation of 250 exhibitors, from the 27 municipalities of Malanje province, in addition to producers from Luanda, Huambo, Cabinda, Namibe, Cuanza Norte and Cunene.
The information was given on Saturday (1) by the president of the Board of Directors of the C-calas Company, Carlos dos Santos Calas, during the awards gala of the event.
On the occasion, the official encouraged banks to facilitate financing for young entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. Expo Malanje started on September 30 and registered 35,000 visitors and generated more than 150 direct temporary jobs and 350 indirect jobs.
In parallel, the 2nd Forum for Attracting Partnerships and Investors to Malanje (FOCAPIM) was held, which addressed, among other topics, issues related to the “Economic Potential of Malanje, Economic Relief Measures”, “Legal Framework for Foreign Investment in Angola” and the “Role of Banking in the Development of the Province”.
For four days, agro-industrial products, handicrafts, clothing, among others, were on display.
