Africa-Press – Angola. Angola has risen one place in the ranking of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), now occupying the 89th position, according to the update published on the official website of the body that governs world football.

According to the information released Wednesday (19), the National Team now has 1271.54 points, compared to the previous 1267.45 points, currently being 89th in the world ranking and 19th in the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

At the continental level, Morocco is in 1st place and 11th in the FIFA ranking, with 1713.12 points.

Senegal holds the second position (19th in the FIFA ranking, with 1648.07 points), and Nigeria is third (34th in the FIFA ranking, with 1502.46 points).

Spain leads the ranking with 1877.18 points, followed by Argentina in second place with 1873.33. France follows in third position with 1870 points.

France and Argentina are the finalists of the 2022 World Cup, held in Qatar, with the South Americans emerging victorious.

Regarding the Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP), Brazil leads in fifth place with 1760.46 points, followed by Portugal in sixth with 1760.38.

Cape Verde, which qualified for the 2026 World Cup for the first time, is in 68th place with 1367.95 points.

Besides Angola, other African countries are Equatorial Guinea (97th/1229.09 pts), Mozambique (102nd/1223.48 pts), Guinea-Bissau (133rd/1108.09 pts), and São Tomé and Príncipe (190th/871.63 pts).
