Africa-Press – Angola. The capital of the country is currently hosting an international seminar on early voting and voting abroad promoted by the Network of Jurisdictional and Electoral Administration Bodies of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (ROJAE-CPLP).
The event is being led by the president of ROJAE-CPLP, Angolan Manuel Pereira da Silva, president of the National Electoral Commission.
The themes highlighted in this seminar, which runs until Wednesday, are “early voting in the perspective of Angolan legislation”, “early voting in Portuguese elections”, “voting abroad in the light of Angolan electoral legislation” and “the vote abroad in the Cape Verde elections”.
Speaking at the opening of the event, Manuel Pereira da Silva clarified that the purpose of the initiative is to exchange experience and knowledge with a view to collecting opinions on the model and method of organization, coordination, conduct and holding of early voting.
