Head of State accredits four new ambassadors

Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received, Wednesday, in Luanda, the Credentials Letters of four ambassadors, with non-resident status, who are henceforth authorized to exercise diplomatic functions in the country.

These are Murad Baseer, from Pakistan, who lives in Zimbabwe, the Irish Ralph Victor (residence in Portugal), the New Zealander Emma Dunipo Bennet and Tariq Al Faraj-Ansari, from Qatar, both residing in South Africa.

The separate ceremonies took place in the Presidential Palace of Cidade Alta. In the end, President João Lourenço spoke for a few minutes with each diplomat on issues of bilateral interest. The Letter of Credential is a document sent by a Head of State to the counterpart, to formalize the beginning of functions of a diplomat in the host country.
