Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda’s coach, Flávio Amado, highlighted, this Tuesday in the country’s capital, the commitment of his players in the victory (2-0) over Académica do Lobito, in the 14th round of the Girabola 2025/26, played at the Estádio 11 de Novembro.
Despite the triumph, the coach, speaking to the press after the match, considered it necessary for the team to continuously improve, especially in the quick transition of play, with a view to the objective of retaining the title.
On the other hand, he referred to the return of Tiago Azulão, after 11 months of absence due to injury, considering his performance satisfactory, despite the short time on the field.
The coach of Académica do Lobito, Sérgio Traguil, stated that it was a difficult game, especially regarding tactical changes and player adaptation, and advocated for the construction of a more solid structure at the club level.
Petro de Luanda leads the Girabola, with 36 points, and Académica do Lobito is ninth, with 18 points.
