Africa-Press – Angola. Interbank Services (EMIS) on Wednesday confirmed that the digital money transfer express platform is operating with complete security, and that information about an alleged cyber attack on the platform is false and unfounded.
In a press release, the company explained that there had been temporary service unavailability on Tuesday, resulting from an unexpected technical issue when accessing the express service.
According to the document, this problem occurred as a result of maintenance and system updates that were scheduled and carried out during the early hours of the morning.
EMIS assures users that the platform is secure and that the integrity of the system remains intact, adding that the security of Express was never compromised, having warned users to be alert to possible fraud attempts or disinformation campaigns that seek to take advantage of the situation.
Please note that the company never requests credentials, PIN codes or passwords by email, text message or telephone, the EMIS said.
The company apologized for any inconvenience caused by this temporary unavailability and reaffirmed its commitment to continue improving, strengthening and making more resilient the Multibank infrastructure.
