Africa-Press – Angola. The National Assembly held, this Thursday, the 7th Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the 4th Legislative Session of the V Legislature, which, among various issues, will discuss the proposed law that approves the Personal Income Tax Code (IRPS).

The diploma aims to update and reinforce the individual income taxation regime in Angola, within the scope of the tax reforms underway in the country.

The Members of the Parliament (MP) must also discuss and vote on the Startups Law Proposal, as well as the Legal Regime of the Beneficial Owner.

Also on the parliamentary agenda is the discussion and vote, in general, on the Basic Law Proposal for the National Health System, an instrument that establishes the structuring principles for the organization and functioning of the Angolan health system.

The MP will also consider the Bill on the Comprehensive Response to the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), a diploma that aims to strengthen public policies for preventing, treating and combating the disease in the country.

In addition to the legislative initiatives, the plenary must discuss and vote on three draft resolutions of an international nature.

Among these is the Draft Resolution that approves the accession of the Republic of Angola to the African Export Development Fund, an initiative aimed at supporting the financing and promotion of exports on the continent.

Parliamentarians will also consider the Draft Resolution that approves, for Angola’s accession, the Intergovernmental Memorandum of Agreement between the Member States of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) for the creation of the regional organization’s Humanitarian Operations and Emergency Response Center.

Also on the agenda is the Draft Resolution that approves, for ratification, the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of defense.
